The four-day festival, themed Dong Thap-Land of Sweet Fruits, will run from June 5 to June 8 at Hung Vuong Square.
Main activities will include an opening ceremony, exhibitions showcasing Dong Thap’s fruit value chains and tourism products, as well as cultural and culinary events centred on local fruits.

Other activities will feature photo exhibitions, fruit arrangement contests, culinary competitions and honours for long-standing orchard growers.
The festival is aimed to promote the image and brand of Dong Thap’s fruit sector while boosting tourism, investment and trade links.
The event will also provide opportunities for cooperation among businesses, farmers, scientists, logistics providers and financial institutions involved in the fruit industry.
Dong Thap currently has Vietnam’s largest fruit-growing area, with about 135,000 hectares producing 2.2-2.5 million tonnes annually, including durian, mango, dragon fruit, jackfruit, pomelo and longan.
