Ao dai designs by Do Trinh Hoai Nam not only was presented on the local catwalks but also welcomed overseas last year. He opened the New York Couture Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week-Haute Couture 2018 on January 23.

On March 3, he opened the 5th Ao Dai Fashion Festival with The World As I See ao dai collection and Miss Mekong Delta 2015 Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em. He continued bringing to the festival another collection Golden Lotus the next day.

 

Do Trinh Hoai Nam's ao dai collection

The collection is highlighted by gemstones and gold-plated technique on silk and velvet materials. A set of ao dai costs from USD10,000 to USD20,000, combing with USD100,000 jewellery sets of Daly Jewellers.

This is also the first time the organisers have held an Ao Dai Designer of the Year award. The festival is to honour and promote the beauty of the traditional dress as well as boosting the city's tourism sector.
