A poor Dao ethnic couple from the northern province of Son La are in desperate need for financial help for their burn treatment after a gas explosion at their home.
Ban Van Minh and Dang Thi Xuan from Ban Si Highlands Village in Moc Chau District are being treated at the Hanoi-based National Institute of Burns.
Unfortunate couple have suffered serious burns
They were injured in a gas explosion at their home on August 28 when Minh was cooking their food. They were taken to hospital by their neighbours.
Doctor Nguyen Thai Ngoc Minh who treated the couple said, “Vinh suffered from 80% burn to his body, including 30% serious burn while his wife, Xuan, suffered from 60% burns to her body.”
The husband is in critical condition
However, the family cannot afford the treatment as they earn just enough to make ends meet from farming work.
