Hundreds of underprivileged women in Hanoi receive free medical check-ups on March 5.
The programme is organised to celebrate the International Women's Day, March 8.
The main event of the campaign took place on March 5 in Hanoi, where 100 disadvantaged women from Soc Son District underwent free health examinations, many of whom have been suffering from chronic illnesses.
This group is the first among a total of 300 women benefiting from the programme, which includes general health check-ups, blood tests, ultrasounds, blood pressure measurements, cardiovascular screenings, and other health assessments.

In addition to medical check-ups, the programme also featured a seminar on women’s health, attended by experts who provided insights into nutrition, reproductive health, common female health conditions, and the benefits of regular medical examinations. These discussions help women enhance their health awareness and take a more proactive role in caring for themselves and their families.
Speaking at the event, Israeli Ambassador Yaron Mayer emphasised that women’s healthcare is not only a humanitarian concern but also a smart strategy for social development.
"When women are healthy, they not only improve their own quality of life but also contribute to the well-being of their families and communities," he said. "We believe that investing in women’s health is a fundamental step towards building a sustainable future."
Beyond providing medical check-ups, the Israeli Embassy also introduced Israel’s advanced healthcare technologies, including AI-powered diagnostics, early disease detection testing, health support applications for women, and optimised medical treatment solutions.
The event is expected to pave the way for future cooperation, enabling Vietnam to integrate these advancements into its healthcare system.
