Petroleum prices sharply fall

Domestic retail petroleum prices dropped sharply at 3 pm today, September 12, following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

Domestic retail petroleum prices dropped sharply at 3 pm today, September 12, following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of biofuel E5 RON92 fell by VND1,080 per litre to VND18,890 per litre, while RON95 fell by VND1,190 per litre to VND19,630 per litre.

Diesel prices decreased by VND930 per litre to VND17,160 per litre, kerosene declined by VND930 per litre to VND17,790 per litre, and mazut prices dropped to VND14,460 per kilo.

Domestic petrol prices have decreased four consecutive times, marking the lowest price for the past two years.

So far this year, petrol prices have increased 17 times and decreased 20 times, while diesel prices have risen 16 times and declined 19 times.

The two ministries decided not to use the petrol price stabilisation fund this time.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has ensured fuel supplies for localities hit by Typhoon Yagi.
