This is an annual event held by the HCM City Youth Cultural House on Pham Ngoc Thach and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai streets in HCM City ahead of Tet.
This year, around 50 young calligraphers can write words or phrases conveying luck, peace, good health or prosperity.
Many foreign visitors enjoy the calligraphy.
Pleasant words are written on a red envelope.
The calligraphers are students from HCM City’s universities.
Minh Hoang from FPT Arena Multimedia and Le Thuy from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are happy to be calligraphers.
The calligraphy is also shown on many items sold at the event such as key holders.
