Hanoi Station has been decorated with fresh flowers, red lanterns and flags.
Many passengers take photos with the colourful Tet decorations.
On January 23, some artists were invited to the station to decorate two carriages, which will be used to serve Tet celebrations.
According to VNR, the two carriages will be used for the SE1 and SE4 train services connecting Hanoi and HCM City. They will operate overnight on Lunar New Year's Eve, January 28.
Artist Truong Trong Quyen shared that the carriage used for Train SE1, which departs Hanoi Station, will be decorated with artwork featuring pink peach blossoms.
In contrast, the one used for the SE4 service, which departs Saigon Station, will have images of yellow apricot blossoms.
Various activities will be held during Tet Festival, including traditional fairs, tug-of-war competitions, cock fights, and dragon dances, among others, were also featured through paintings on the carriages' covers.
VNR expects the two trains to provide passengers unique experiences during the Lunar New Year's Eve celebrations.
Many cultural and entertainment activities and performances will be held onboard throughout the journey.
At midnight, passengers can join a countdown celebration with a sweet buffet, participate in a lucky draw, enjoy traditional Tet dishes, and play folk games.
Before boarding, passengers can visit a special art exhibition on the second floor of Hanoi Station, featuring works by 40 Vietnamese artists. In addition, on the second day of Tet, a workshop will be held at Saigon Station, where passengers can participate in interactive painting activities.
