The Haiphong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism collaborated with Vietnam Railways to launch the Hoa Phuong Do Red Flamboyant train route.
Each train on the route consists of 20 carriages, including two VIP carriages with 16 single sofa seats and five long sofa sets accommodating 20 seats across three distinct spaces. The VIP carriages also accommodate natural wooden floors, elegant interiors, free Wi-Fi, a bar, and live music performances.

The other 18 carriages have 56 swivel seats, vinyl floors, faux-marble wall panelling, and ceilings enhanced with decorative LED lights.
According to Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Haiphong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the service will launch on May 13 to mark the 70th anniversary of the city’s liberation.
The journey from Hanoi to Haiphong takes around two hours, but ticket prices for the new train have yet to be announced.
Mai noted that Haiphong will host the Haiphong Culinary Festival from May 9 to 14 at Haiphong Railway Station. Around 40 food stalls will display a variety of local delicacies and signature dishes.
