Danang officially put into use its newly renovated riverside pavement along the Cam Le River on March 24
According to Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of the Danang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project started in May 2024, spanning nearly 2 km with a pavement width of 15 to 21.6 metres. The renovation includes various architectural and landscape elements.
For the first time in the city, the golden trumpet tree has been planted as a pilot project, aiming to enhance scenic beauty and provide shade along the Cam Le River. Existing trees along Thang Long Street have been preserved, while unsuitable species were relocated and new trees planted.
Additionally, the project includes two smart public toilets clusters equipped with automatic doors and eco-friendly high-end fixtures.

The riverside pavement along Thang Long Street, from Asia Park to Cam Le District, now features a bicycle lane, natural stone-paved walking paths, benches, seating areas, and outdoor fitness equipment, creating a recreational space for both locals and visitors.
“The project also includes a new decorative lighting system, ensuring proper illumination for both pedestrians and cyclists. The project cost VND44.2 billion,” Huy stated.
