Tran Ngoc Dang, director of the zoo’s Education Centre, said that all night tours for March and April are already fully booked.

The tour takes place every Saturday night, running from 7 pm to 8 pm and from 8.15 pm to 9.15 pm. Each session accommodates between 10 and 20 people. with tickets priced at VND200,000 (USD7.88). Visitors aged 10 to 65 are eligible to join.

Visitors will learn about the behaviour and habitats of nocturnal animals during the tour, which is carefully designed to avoid disrupting their natural activities.

Tour guides will use flashlights to help visitors easily locate the animals.

Many visitors burst into laughter as some animals woke up and shouted loudly when guests approached.

A key highlight of the tour is the chance to see animals’ eyes glowing in the dark, which is rarely visible during the day.

Flashlights are carefully aimed at the legs of water birds to prevent any harm to their eyes during observation.

The king cobra and the reticulated python are two outstanding species of the tour, both known for their distinctive nocturnal hunting behaviours.

Quang Khai in Grade 3 from District 6 said that he was really impressed by the tour. He expected to enjoy more tours to the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens in the future.

Guests are encouraged to wear long-sleeved clothing, pants, and sports shoes to avoid insect bites and move easily, while strictly following all safety guidelines for both themselves and the animals.
