The Danang Department of Tourism held a press conference on Thursday to announce the Danang Food Tour Festival 2025.
According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the department's director, the event aims to create a new tourism product, enhance visitors' culinary and cultural experiences, and promote local food businesses.
The festival's opening ceremony, featuring spectacular performances, will be held at 7.30 pm on March 28 at Bien Dong Park. Visitors can enjoy 200 dishes, including specialities from localities like Mi Quang, Bun Mam, Com Ga, fresh seafood, and Goi Ca, and international cuisines from South Korea, Japan, Europe, America, China, India, and Thailand.
Visitors can participate in hands-on experiences, such as making tradional Banh Xeo and Banh It cakes, and fresh spring rolls, and they can also see culinary performances.
The festival will distribute 5,000 Danang Food Tour vouchers in both Vietnamese and English, granting locals and tourists exclusive offers, including a 10 percent discount, bonus dishes, and unique combo deals at selected venues.
As part of the event, the Danang Food Tour-The Chef Competition will gather around 20 chefs to showcase their culinary skills. In addition, 200 chefs will perform a gastronomy-themed flash mob, promoting Vietnamese cuisine.
