Bridge across Hue river to be built

Hue City in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has decided to spend VND29 billion (USD1.18 million) on building a bridge over the An Cuu River.

Hue City in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has decided to spend VND29 billion (USD1.18 million) on building a bridge over the An Cuu River.

The Y-shaped bridge, designed for pedestrians and cyclists, will be situated at the intersection of the Huong and An Cuu rivers. It will connect the pedestrian road behind the Huong River Opera House to Bui Thi Xuan Park. The bridge will be 4.2 metres wide and 47.4 metres long.

The bridge deck will be made of steel and overlaid with ironwood, and the railings will be crafted from bronze to create a striking highlight.

The bridge will feature rest areas where visitors can enjoy the scenery.

The slope of the bridge is designed to be suitable for the disabled and cyclists, allowing them to move up and down easily.

Hue City invested hundreds of billions of VND into building streets for cyclists and pedestrians along Huong River over the past years.
