The landslide occurred on Monday morning at the Yen Due - Hoa Duyet section running through Duc Lien Commune in the central province of Ha Tinh’s Vu Quang District following heavy rains over the past few days.

Around 500 cubic metres of soil and stone have been swept away and 50 metres of the line have been seriously damaged due to the landslide.
Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company on Monday arranged 100 staff to deal with the landslide.
Tran Van Ke, deputy director of the company, said despite heavy rains, the workers were divided into two shifts to work overnight.
The company used 1,500 cubic metres of rocks and 300 cubic metres of pebble to consolidate the damaged railway section.
