Mettler-based Creative Dance Scholarship program provides an introduction to the underlying principles and teaching methods used in Mettler-based Creative Dance. The scholarship is provided by Mettler Studio Inc., USA & Vietnam Dance/Movement Therapy for professional and personal development.

March 25 and 26,
The festival will showcase 17 hot air balloons of all colours and sizes.
From 7pm to 8pm on March 25, the “Night of flowers” programme will feature gas and flames being funnelled into the balloons, making them shine like giant lanterns.
Other activities will also be held to create an unforgettable experience for visitors.

Galerie Quynh is pleased to present ‘Breeze on the river’ – the much-anticipated solo exhibition of new work by Tran Van Thao. This is Tran’s sixth major solo exhibition at the gallery coming five years after his last solo show ‘the line’ (2017). In each of his exhibitions with the gallery, with the first held 22 years ago, Tran continues to create surprising abstract compositions inspired by the world around him.

Manzi is pleased to present ‘Through the looking glass’ – a solo show by Hanoi-based visual artist Nguyễn Trần Nam.
Known as one of Hanoi’s second wave of contemporary artists, Nam’s practice embraces a diverse body of multimedia works such as paintings, installations and video art. ‘Through the looking glass’ is the artist’s third solo exhibition with Manzi, following ‘Undone’ in 2017 and ‘The broken chapters’ in 2013.

San Art is pleased to introduce “Waiting for the end of wind”, a solo exhibition by Nguyễn Thái Tuấn.
In 2008, Nguyen Thai Tuan had his first solo exhibition in which he shared his observations on the human condition through the series Black Paintings. Almost immediately, his paintings appeared in a variety of cultural forums, discussions on painting, and interdisciplinary socio-political commentaries.

Featuring more than 30 exhibits, documents and images featuring tigers throughout over 2,000 years of the country's art history, showing that the image of tigers was widely portrayed in Vietnam’s ancient pottery, carving and folk paintings, among others.

On The Reel Film Lab (OTR) is within the framework of E-MOTIONS, an initiative started by UNESCO in Vietnam to improve and balance the state of the country’s film industry. This is the third year as well as the last year of the project to conduct a series of sessions for filmmakers to grasp the basics of navigating their starting projects and leading towards forming a career. In 2021, OTR Film Lab Part 1 consisted of two directing and producing workshops with renowned regional filmmakers: Workshop 1: Aesthetics of Short Film and Micro-Budget Filmmaking guided by filmmaker Pham Ngoc Lan and Truong Minh Quy, and Workshop 2: International Film Industry and Crucial Production Skills by producer-director Pimpaka Towira.

We Come Into Life tells the story of the precarious world that two young adults find themselves in following the sudden death of their parents. In an invisible consternation, sister and brother try to find a way to survive. They lose their innocence and come of age amidst an intense urban rhythm of sadness and wilderness. The film captures this special moment of the young characters, faced with a reality of contradiction and tragicomedy aplenty. A strange energy of those hailing from the new generation – unstable, stateless, yet full of life.

Kinofest is our annual festival for current German cinema. Screenings take place online, accessible to audiences in eight countries in Southeast Asia.
We are presenting twelve selected films, mostly current newcomers from different genres, in a first joint production of eight Goethe-Instituts from Southeast Asia. The event takes place from February 18 to March 31, 2022. We are celebrating not only the films but also how they are screened: all films are available online in the entire region and subtitled in four national languages (Indonesian, Thai, Burmese, and Vietnamese) plus English.
