According to the General Statistics of Office, the local labour market saw a considerable recovery in the third quarter.

During the period, the unemployment rate decreased against the same period last year.
The country's labour force aged above 15 between January and September of 2022 was nearly 52 million, up 200,000 against the previous quarter and 2.8 million people up against the third quarter of last year.
In the January-September period, around 4.4 million aged over 15 in Vietnam were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, down 3.6 million from the previous quarter.
The average monthly income of employees in the third quarter was VND6.7 million, up VND143,000 against the second quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, between January and September this year, around one million people were unemployed and 870,000 others were underemployed.
The southeast, the Mekong Delta and the northern central and central coastal regions which were hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic have witnessed a strong rebound in their labour market as up to 1.6 local people were employed in the third quarter.
