Vietnamese athletes to attend World Student Games festival

14 Vietnamese athletes will participate in the 27th World Student Games festival, which is scheduled to take place in Kazan, Russia from June 30-July 20.

14 Vietnamese athletes will participate in the 27th World Student Games festival, which is scheduled to take place in Kazan, Russia from June 30-July 20.

The country’s team will  involve four disciplines including athletics, table tennis, chess and gymnastics.

Tran Quang Quy, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Sports Association and Deputy Minister of Education and Training, expressed his hope that the athletes will contribute to promoting the image of a beautiful and friendly Vietnam in the spirit of solidarity.

During the festival, a series of activities including music performances, travel tour will also be held.

The biannual event is a good opportunity for students across the world to exchange experience and strengthen friendship.
At the 26th World Student Games held in Singapore, Vietnam won one silver and three bonzes.
