A delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia led by Wei Jizhong on March 18 worked with administrative representatives from Khanh Hoa, Danang and Binh Thuan to prepare for the 5th Asian Beach Games. According to plan, the games will be held in these localities in June, 2016, including ten events in Nha Trang city, three in Binh Thuan province and four in Danang city.
Mr Jizhong said local beaches and infrastructure facilities are good enough for competition.
He suggested Vietnam focus on ensuring security and transportation services for a large number of guests, athletes and coaches coming from many Asian countries and territories, especially at the opening and closing ceremonies in Nha Trang city.
