The Ministry of Finance decided to keep petroleum prices unchanged, but lower the collection for the petrol price stabilisation fund.

92 octane gasoline is currently priced at VND20,800 (USD0.98) per liltre
As a result of the new decision, petroleum firms must maintain prices at VND20,800 (USD0.98) per liltre of 92 octane gasoline, and at VND21,300 (USD1.01) per litre of 95 octane gasoline.
Collection for the petrol price stabilisation fund will be reduced to VND250 per litre of gasoline from the previous VND300 per litre.
The ministry’s regulation applies to all petroleum product sales beginning from December 26.
The fees collected for diesel will drop from VND1,000 to VND690 per litre of diesel, kerosene from VND900 to VND440 per litre and fuel oil from VND950 to VND740 per kilo.
Gasoline prices were decreased by VND500 per litre on August 27, and have been kept unchanged since then, following two price hikes in February and March.
The latest price cut to oil products was applied on October 10, bringing diesel price by VND400 per litre to VND20,400/litre, and kerosene by VND300 to VND20,200 per litre.
