| Rice planting ceremony of Bru-Van Kieu ethnic people in Quang Binh Province featured at the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Culture and Tourism Village |
Other activities include a workshop on ethnic youths and traditional values of Vietnamese families; a special art programme; cultural exchanges, folk games and specific festivals of ethnic groups.
During the cultural day, each ethnic group will present their distinctive cuisine, cultural features and traditional products.
The event will be attended by village elders and ethnic artisans from Ha Giang, Son La, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Hoa Binh and Bac Kan provinces; representatives of youths and students from all 54 ethnic groups; and central and local art troupes.
According to Ho Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism cum head of the tourism village’s managing board, the event aims to raise awareness of ethnic youths to preserve and uphold the nation’s traditional cultural values, consolidate solidarity among Vietnamese ethnic groups and popularise images of the country and people.
