Presiding over the ceremony, Deputy Commander of the Cambodian Royal Army General Prum Din praised the project as a noble symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two armies, helping strengthen solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Pursuant to a memorandum of understanding signed February 21, this year the Vietnam Defence Ministry has dedicated non-refundable financial aid for Cambodia military infrastructure projects as well as training courses and humanitarian aid.
They will also join efforts in researching and reburying sets of remains of Vietnamese fallen combatants who laid down their lives in battlefields in Cambodia.
