VFF signs Phuc as head coach

Vietnam Football Federation will today sign a two-year contract with coach Hoang Van Phuc to take charge of the national and under-23 teams.

Phuc, 49, has been acting coach since the beginning of the year and managed Vietnam in two matches during the 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Phuc will lead the U23 to play Kashima Antlers of Japan in a friendly match on June 4 in Hanoi.

The squad will be summoned later this month in preparation for the match.
