Representatives of Eastern International University (EIU) in southern Binh Duong province and Portland State University (PSU) in the US’s Oregon State signed a memorandum of understanding on granting scholarships to Vietnamese students to learn at the PSU on July 3.
PSU President Wim Wiewel said that this is part of the university’s scholarship fund for Vietnamese students worth 6 million USD.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Nam spoke highly of cooperation between the two universities.
He hoped that the connection will help train high-quality human resources for Binh Duong province, pledging to create favourable conditions for the cooperation.
The PSU now partners a number of Vietnamese universities, including the EIU, Hanoi University of Foreign Trade, and National Economics University
