UAE football stars to play Vietnam in Asian Cup qualifiers

The UAE squad, under head coach Ali Hassan Redha, consists of three goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders, and seven strikers.

UAE forward Matar Ibrahim won the Golden Ball Award at the U20 FIFA World Cup in 2003. His teammates include the 2012 Gulf Cup Top Scorer Ahmed Khali and Best Player Omar Abdulrahman.

Vietnamese Head Coach Hoang Van Phuc is anticipating the match will be a great challenge but is optimistic after his team’s three wins in three previous friendlies.

Phuc expressed his pleasure at the fighting spirit of his players, highlighting the efforts of veterans and the two overseas Vietnamese players Mac Hong Quan and Michal Nguyen.

The match is scheduled for 6 PM on January 6 at the My Dinh National Stadium.
