One Danang-based company has applied to explore the Dak Pring gold deposit in Dak Pring Commune over 62.5 hectares for two years from the date of licensing.

The firm said the exploration would support future mining and processing and pledged compliance with all relevant regulations. It signed a contract on March 20 with the Geological Division for Radioactive and Rare Elements under the Vietnam Department of Geology and Minerals.
Separately, a Ho Chi Minh City-based company has sought approval to explore a 25-hectare gold site in Duc Binh Commune, Dak Lak, for mine and processing design.
The company signed a contract with the South Central Geological Federation in mid-March and also pledged compliance with geological and mineral regulations.
In March 2025, the ministry said a mineral survey in northwestern Vietnam had identified 110 valuable deposits, including about 40 gold deposits with inferred resources exceeding 29.8 tonnes.
