Two tourists have died after their car plunged into the Xuan Huong Lake in the central highlands city of Dalat on Thursday evening.

Reports from Lam Dong Provincial Police Department showed that the accident occurred at 6.15 pm on October 13 when the seven-seated car was running from the Dalat night market to Lam Vien Square. It suddenly plunged into the lake when reaching a roundabout in Tran Quoc Toan Street.
One person who sat in a front seat and the driver were stuck in the car and died while two others in the back seats managed to get out before it sank.
Rescue forces recovered the car at 8 pm. The two dead men were identified as Pham Hong Hai, 50, and Thai Chi Nhan, 30, who were tourists from An Giang Province.
Xuan Huong Lake is a famous tourist site in Dalat City.
