According to the HCM City Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR), a train will be operated for the route’s total length of 19.7 kilometres, linking Suoi Tien and Ben Thanh stations. Roughly 20 people will be allowed to sit on the train.

This will be the first test run of the whole Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien line. Earlier, only elevated sections experienced trial runs.
Japanese contractor Hitachi and concerned units have prepared measures to ensure safety, including firefighting equipment and improving the tunnel lighting systems.
Trains of Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro projects are produced in Japan. Each can accommodate 930 passengers.
The VND43.70 trillion Ben Than-Suoi Tien is HCM City’s first metro project. The route would have three underground and 11 elevated stations. It is expected to be put into operation next year.
