Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha will no longer concurrently hold his post as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment as of May 22.
The National Assembly in its extraordinary session in January 2023 approved the Government’s request to appoint Ha who was then Minister of Natural Resources and Environment as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
Ha has since been Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
The lawmakers are scheduled to examine a Government request on the appointment of a new minister in charge of natural resources and environment on May 22.
The name of the new minister is expected to be announced later the same day.
