The incident happened in Golf Valley Urban Area in Ward 2 on August 15.
The construction of the basement at a land plot named H30 has been blamed for cracks and subsidence at Da Lat KaKi and WeDaLat hotels and some adjacent houses.

Right after being informed, local authorities sent staff to check the scene and requested the relocation of all people.
Do Huu Khuong, owner of Da Lat KaKi, said that he informed his guests of the incident. He had to return their payments or find alternative hotels for them.
Under the instruction of local authorities, the investor in the land plot that apparently caused the problems has to urgently carry out measures to ensure safety for the hotels and neighbouring houses and be responsible for the consequences.
The investor was also required to hire a geotechnical survey unit to assess the impact on nearby houses before proceeding with further work.
