The tornado lasted for about 40 minutes and ripped through Son Linh Commune, blowing roofs off 70 homes and causing extensive damage.

The roofs of the commune's Party Committee and People's Committee headquarters were also damaged, while strong winds knocked down numerous trees and power poles and caused losses to crops.

After the tornado passed, heavy rain continued for about one hour, leaving many household belongings exposed and damaged by water after roofs had been torn away.

According to local authorities, police officers, military personnel and community organisations have been mobilised to clear fallen trees and repair damaged roofs to help residents return to normal life as quickly as possible.

Officials are currently assessing the extent of the damage and preparing recommendations for higher authorities to provide financial assistance for housing repairs and the restoration of agricultural production.
