The fire at a bar in Haiphong City on May 12.
According to a representative from Ngo Quyen District People's Committee, the accident occurred at a four-storey bar at 144 Van Cao Street, Ngo Quyen District at 2pm. The fire broke out from the first floor which was about 90 square metres wide and quickly spread to other floors.

At that time, there were only four female staff members at the bar and they all tried to run to the fourth floor to call for help. However, just one of them managed to reach the fourth floor to get help while three others could not due to the spreading fire.
The fire was put under control at 3.30pm while firefighters found three bodies inside the bar. The victims were all staff members aged between 18-21.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
