The house where the fire occurred on June 22.
According to a report from the Trung Son Commune People's Committee, the fire broke out at 1.30 am at the two-storey house of Tong Van Lan in Son Quang Village.
Some 30 firefighters and four fire engines were sent to the site but faced difficulties in rescue work as the house, which was also used as a fabric scrap store, contained lots of flammable materials and had secure doors.
Firefighters managed to put out the fire at 3.30 am. However, Lan, 58, his 35-year-old daughter and three-year-old granddaughter were all found dead inside their house.
Police are further investigating the cause of the fire.
