Tickets for the North-South train for Tet 2026 will be available for passengers travelling between February 3, 2026 and March 8, 2026.
The company will handle ticket sales for group bookings from September 15 to 19, 2025. Meanwhile, tickets will be widely available across all railway channels, including stations, authorised agents, the official website, and partner sales platforms from 8 am on September 20.
Vietnam Railway Transport JSC will operate 55 trains with over 800 carriages, providing around 330,000 tickets daily. Alongside seven regular North-South trains, two additional services, TN3/4 and TN5/6, will run between Hanoi and HCM City.
The railway sector will also operate 12 trains on the Hanoi-Vinh and Dong Hoi-Danang routes, two on the Hue-Danang route, as well as services from Saigon to Danang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Phan Thiet. Additional trains from HCM City to Danang, Tam Ky, Dieu Tri, Nha Trang, and from Hanoi to Vinh will be added to meet travel and holiday demand.
Passengers can enjoy various discounts, such a 5-15 per cent for bookings at least 10 days, over 900 kilometres; 3 per cent off for trips over 1,000 km departing Saigon on February 15, 2026; 2-12 per cent off for group bookings of 11 or more; 5 per cent off return legs of round trips; and 10-2 per cent off for students.
Priority groups include the armed forces, universities, colleges, industrial zones, export processing zones, and social organisations.
