On Wednesday, the Finnish and Vietnamese teams completed their final preparations for the opening ceremony of the Danang International Fireworks Festival on June 2.

Vietnamese team technical leader Tran Van Hung said that it had used about 4,500 fireworks of all kinds, and over 128 different colour effects. The team would combine music and special effects for its performance.

This year, the fireworks performance of the Vietnamese team is divided into three parts. The first part is a combination of music and fireworks colours while the second part references the challenges people in Da Nang faced after the Covid-19 pandemic. The third part is about how people can live in a peaceful, stable and happy world.

High-altitude cannons are installed for the show. Technicians install electrical wiring to connect them to a control box. After finishing the wiring installation, technical staff will cover them with foil to ensure that the cannon does not get wet if it encounters adverse weather. In addition, the use of foil is also an effective way to help fireworks to reach the desired height.

DIFF 2019 champions, the Finnish team promises to surprise people this year. The Finnish team are completing arrangements for the low-level fireworks right next to the Han River.

Low-range fireworks are often arranged in a fan shape, creating a giant propeller effect when being fired.
