A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, state, National Assembly, government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front came to pay tribute and lay wreaths to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi to mark the Tet Lunar

A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, state, National Assembly (NA), government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) came to pay tribute and lay wreaths to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on January 19 to mark the Tet Lunar New Year.

The delegation including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, Acting State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, and VFF Central Committee President Do Van Chien paid tribute to the late president, then offered incense at the Martyrs’ Monument in Bac Son street.


Former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, former NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and other officials joined the delegations.

The same day, a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hanoi Party and People’s Council, People’s Committee and VFF Committee also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the mausoleum, and martyrs’ monument.

A delegation of Party and State leaders also offered incense in tribute to martyrs at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi.

Vietnam is celebrating the 2023 Lunar New Year or the Year of the Cat Festival which falls on January 22.
