Hundreds of students from low-income households in northern Ha Nam Province have been given material support and scholarships from the Study Promotion Fund for their achievements.
Poor students are given bicycles
At the annual event held by the Study Promotion Fund in Ha Nam Province on September 22, 115 bicycles and 91 scholarships that worth VND234 million (USD11,000) have been granted to 206 students. Despite their disadvantages, these students have worked hard and gained great results in study.
Many provincial authorities and agencies also attended the event, including editor-in-chief of DTiNews and head of Vietnam Study Promotion Fund Pham Huy Hoan, vice chairman of Ha Nam Province People's Committee Tran Hong Nga and head of the provincial Study Promotion Fund Le Trong Thi.
Vietnam Study Promotion Fund also gave one certificate of merit and four medals for individuals that showed great efforts in study promotion activities. The provincial Study Promotion Fund gave two certificates of recognition for the heart of gold.

In addition, the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund has donated 500 notebooks, 150 pen boxes and 50 clip folders and document cases for the new school year.
At the event, the vice chairman of Ha Nam Province People's Committee Tran Hong Nga highlighted the achievements and called for more support from sponsors so that students from poor families could achieve a better future.
