On June 26, the Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Centre said Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces and cities would see spells of sunshine during the day, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with heavy rain in some places.
Temperatures are expected to range from 25-28 degrees Celsius to 32-35 degrees Celsius.
Southern waters are forecast to see showers and thunderstorms. Notably, the Lam Dong sea area may continue to experience strong south-westerly winds of force 5-6, with gusts of force 7-8. Waves are expected to reach 1-3 metres, with rough seas.

According to the meteorological agency, southern Vietnam will in the coming days maintain weather typical of the rainy season, with little change in temperatures. There will be intermittent sunshine during the day, while scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening.
Over the next one to two days, rainfall across the region is expected to increase. Some areas may see moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by dangerous weather such as whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts.
From late June to early July, as the south-west monsoon gradually strengthens, southern Vietnam is likely to enter a period of more widespread rainfall.
