Quang Liem has returned to the group of Super Grandmasters after his great contribution at the 40th World Chess Olympiad.

Player Le Quang Liem has returned to the group of Super Grandmasters after his great contribution to the Vietnamese team at the 40th World Chess Olympiad.

His outstanding performance earned him an additional 15 Elo points to reach 2,707.7 and helped Vietnam rank 7th among 150 teams competing at the event.

Liem will attend the Spice Cup in Texas, US from October 13-21 as the defending champion and join the blitz chess and rapid chess events at the Cap d’Agde Festival a month later.
