Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve

Binh Phuoc’s authorities previously proposed an option that included a 76 kilometre-long route going through Ma Da Bridge and Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve. Up to 31 kilometres would run through Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve.

According to the Ministry of Transport, Binh Phuoc’s proposal is infeasible for environmental concerns. If so, the project must seek the National Assembly’s approval. UNESCO would also revoke the world biosphere reserve title of the area.

The Ministry of Transport has asked Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong to speed up Belt Road 4 to create favourable infrastructure connections.
