Phu Quoc faced heavy rains over recent days due to Storm Talim. Some areas, including Cua Duong, Cua Can and Duong To communes and Duong Dong Ward struggled with flash floods on July 19-20.


Phu Quoc faces the severe inundation
Many local households have been isolated. The floods have swept away the poultry and furniture of some families.
The Phu Quoc Military High Command sent around 100 soldiers to help evacuate people and poultry to safe places.
The heavy rain and flash floods over the past few days killed one tourist and injured four other people in Phu Quoc. Many works in the city have also been damaged.
The southern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to continue experiencing rains over some days to come.
