In addition, the municipal people's committee ordered the company to restore the original environmental condition and submit a remediation report within one day of receiving the decision, with all expenses to be covered by the company.

On June 10, residents found 98.4 kilos of damaged Cetecoenzetilax Cinarizine 25mg dumped in 11 plastic bags along Xuan Thieu 21 Street in Lien Chieu Ward.

Authorities then identified Central Pharmaceutical JSC 3 as the source of the discarded medicine.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam had earlier ordered the recall of over 169,000 tablets of the same drug of the company for failing to meet quality standards.

The company explained that the official disposal fee at Khanh Son landfill was too high, so the scrap dealer dumped the medicine on a vacant lot along Xuan Thieu 21 Street.
