Petroleum prices further fall

Petroleum products prices further decreased from 3 pm on Thursday, marking the third consecutive fall.

Under the decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 fell by VND1,300 and VND1,320 per litre to VND20,130 and VND21,000 respectively.

Kerosene declined by VND556 per litre to VND17,972 and diesel dropped by VND601 per litre to VND17,653. Mazut oil also decreased by VND 647 per kilo to VND 14,862 per kilo.

These were the lowest fuel prices in the past 20 months.

There have been 13 adjustments made so far this year on petroleum prices, including seven increases and five decreases.

The two ministries also determined plans to extract VND300 per litre from E5 RON 92 and RON 95 prices, VND300 per litre from kerosene and diesel prices, and VND300 per kilo from mazut oil prices for the petrol price stabilisation fund.
