Under the decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 fell slightly by VND830 and VND840 per litre respectively.

Diesel and kerosene also fell by VND700 and VND740 per litre respectively. Mazut oil prices stayed unchanged.

With the price adjustment, E5 RON 92 is being sold at VND26,470 per litre, while the price for RON 95 is VND27,310 per litre, diesel at VND24,380 per litre, kerosene at VND23,020 per litre and mazut oil at VND 20,929 per kilogramme.


This was the third consecutive price fall since March 21. The latest adjustment was made on April 1 after the government agreed to cut environmental protection tax on petrol products by 50% from April 1 to the end of this year, taking the tax rate on petrol to VND2,000 per litre, and oil to VND1,000.

Earlier petrol prices witnessed seven consecutive increases since December 25, 2021.
