Passengers to Tan Son Nhat airport on national holidays forecasted to surge

Tan Son Nhat Airport has been forecasted to serve 755,910 passengers on the coming National Reunification and International Labour Day holiday, up 32.79 percent against the same period of last year.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City has been forecasted to serve 755,910 passengers on the coming National Reunification (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) holiday, up 32.79 percent against the same period of last year.

Between April 28 and May 3, the airport will serve a total of 4,466 flights, up 18 percent compared to the same time of 2022. The international terminal is expected to see 255,715 passengers, while the figure for the domestic one will be around 500,195.

The airport has planned measures to ensure safety and ease overcrowding.

A quick response team has been set up to deal with the operation of unlicensed taxis and motorbikes. The airport will arrange roughly 20 staff to assist passengers in vehicle pick-up and security screening areas from 5 to 9 am between April 29 and May 3.

More cars with at least 10 seats will also be operated to meet passenger demand.

Passenger numbers to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on the National Reunification and International Labour Day holiday are also predicted to rise by 20 percent.
