Vietnam Airlines (VNA) announced Thursday that among 6,400 passengers stranded at domestic and foreign airports due to volcanic ash, over 3,000 have boarded new flights.

After having successful resumed 6 flights to France and Russia on April 20, VNA will continue to resume all other usual flights and arrange for some extra flights to Europe.
VNA announced their new flight schedule as below:
VN525 Hanoi - Moscow (usual flight) departing at 10.50 local time on April 21.
VN5255 Hanoi - Moscow (extra flight) departing at 15.30 local time on April 21.
VN524 Moscow - Hanoi (usual flight) departing at 20.00 local time on April 21.
VN5442 Frankfurt - Hanoi (extra flight) departing at 20.00 local time on April 21.
VN543 HCMC - Frankfurt (usual flight) departing at 23.10 local time on April 21.
VN5333 HCMC - Paris (extra flight) departing at 00.30 local time on April 22.
VN535 Hanoi - Paris (usual flight) departing at 01.00 local time on April 22.
VN534 Paris - Hanoi (usual flight) departing at 14.00 local time on April 22.
VNA reported that the backlog of passengers on the Hanoi - Moscow route had been completely cleared as of April 21. Those on the Hanoi - Paris route will be cleared by April 23. For passengers travelling from Vietnam to Germany and vice versa, VNA promised to do their best to arrange flights for all of them in the shortest possible time.
As of the end of April 21, VNA has been able to operate a total of four extra flights to carry passengers to their destinations in Russia, France and Germany.
