The incident occurred on Wednesday in Di An City’s Binh Thang Ward.

The family raised two dogs, one Pitbull and one German Shepherd. At around 7 pm, the victim’s daughter opened the cage for the Pitbull to eat. The woman was sitting on a hammock some 15 metres from the animal at that moment.
Suddenly, the dog rushed to attack the woman. She then fell on the floor and was repeatedly bitten on her head by the dog. The woman’s daughter tried to stop the animal but failed.
When the woman lay motionless, the dog finally stopped.
The Pitbull dog weighs around 40 kilos.
A woman in Thanh Hoa Province and a boy in Binh Phuoc Province also died after being attacked by two Pitbull dogs last year.
