November saw a new record in automobile sales with over 11,000 units of which the hottest segment were of the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and sport utility vehicle (SUV) segments, a popular new trend.In November 2010, total sales volume of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers\' Association (VAMA)’s members reached 11,198 units which was a decrease of 9% compared to November 2009, of which sales of passenger car (PC) segments and commercial verhicle (CV) decreased by 16% and 7% respectively.
VAMA sales figures went up in November 2010 reaching 99,798 units, a decrease of 4% in comparision with the same period in 2009, in which sale of the PC segment decreases by 16% and CV down by 7%.

The sedan segment welcomed some new models in November including the Honda Wise and Ford Focus 2.0 sedan after the VAMA Motor Show 2010. However these models were not influencing much on the market and only added 500 more units compared to October’s sale volume for this segment.
Toyota still led the top 5 best-seller in a month with their Altis and Vios. GM and Daewoo had two models and Truong Hai Motors offers the Kia Morning.

SUV/MPV segment did not introduce any new model, however, it has seen a stable growth since the beginning of the year and promise a good future for its manufactures and traders.
The Kia Sportage which had been launched in late October but by November no information was released on the sale of this model.
