Before the arrival of this system, the north is expected to see cold nights and mornings, with sunny days and little rain.
On January 13, the northeast will see mostly clear skies, sunny conditions during the day and dry weather at night with temperatures ranging from 10-25 degrees Celsius.

The northwest will be sunny by day and dry at night, with morning fog in places with temperatures varying 10 to around 26 degrees Celsius.
From January 14, northern temperatures are expected to rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius, before cloud cover increases on Thursday, pushing temperatures down by 2-3 degrees Celsius. From January 17, sunnier conditions are forecast, with temperatures gradually climbing again.
Meanwhile, air quality levels in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen and Phu Tho remain poor to very poor, posing health risks to the public. The pollution is forecast to persist for another two to three days, according to meteorological agencies.
