The sub-projects are the Mai Son-National Highway 45 which is 63.37 kilometres long, the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet (100.8 kilometres) and the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay (99 kilometres).
Construction of three sub-projects of the North-South Expressway route have been slated to be finished on April 30
The Mai Son-National Highway 45 section cost VND12.11 trillion (USD515.36 million). Started in September 2020, by April 14, around 92 percent of the sub-project had been completed. Once finished it will connect the northern province of Ninh Binh and the northern central city of Thanh Hoa.
Construction on the VND12.57 trillion Phan Thiet-Dau Giay section is sped up. By April 18, around 93 percent of the sub-project was completed.
However only 83 percent of the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet sub-project had been completed by April 14.The Ministry of Transport has asked contractors to arrange more staff and equipment to quicken the sub-projects to ensure they finish on time, following an instruction from the prime minister.
