Ninh Binh Provincial Police said Bui Ngoc Tai, born in 1976 and residing in Yen Khanh Commune, has been prosecuted on charges of violating regulations on the protection of endangered, precious and rare wildlife.

Investigators previously discovered a jar of alcohol containing a bear paw at Tai's home during an inspection.
Tai admitted to illegally possessing the wildlife product. He also voluntarily informed investigators that he had been keeping a crocodile at his property and handed the animal over to the authorities.
Police said the case remains under investigation in accordance with Vietnamese law.
