
Accordingly, by July 20, the country had 584 newly-licensed projects with a total registered capitalisation of $5.2 billion that is just 55.9 percent of the figure recorded a year earlier.
So far, the FDI projects have disbursed $6.25 billion, 0.8 percent lower than the same period last year.
Most of foreign investment went to the processing, real estate, retail and wholesale trade, transportation and healthcare sectors.
Japan tops the list of countries and territories investing in Vietnam with $4.29 billion.
